In the recent BET HipHop Awards 2019 freestyle session by Sarkodie which is trending on social media, the rapper touched on some salient points to drum home a message.
Sarkodie talked about self love, slavery (the new form of slavery that has to with the whites controlling our minds and manipulating us in every facet), patriotism, blackness, socio-economic and foreign affairs.
The rapper hinted in one of the verses that juju or voodoo (also known as African magic) is not evil. Perhaps he was trying to say that’s what represents us as Africans or gives us identity before the coming of the Europeans and their religions.
